What exactly is NextUp?

NextUp helps you determine and achieve your best next step in life, whether it’s getting your GED, enrolling in technical training, or finding a job. Your Career Coach will help you define goals and map out the best path to achieve them. Along the way, you’ll have access to free technical training, job placement, personal career coaching, plus workshops and support to make sure you reach your goals.

How much does the program cost?

Zero dollars. Zilch. Zip. Nada. Thanks to generous donations from local organizations like the Tulsa Area United Way and Charles & Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, NextUp is completely free. With no fees, you can focus on your future, not the cost.

What is Madison Strategies Group?

Madison Strategies Group is a non-profit organization that runs the NextUp program. We have over a decade of experience providing quality education and employment services, providing Tulsans with coaching, training, and support to achieve their goals.

Where is NextUp?

We’re downtown, inside the Madison Strategies Group office at 907 S. Detroit Ave., Suite 210, Tulsa, OK 74120. Our office is in the Sun Building between Home Depot and TCC Metro Campus. There’s free visitor parking and a bus stop in front of our building.

How do I join NextUp?

Simply sign up for an orientation session to begin the process. Orientations are every Monday and Wednesday, or whatever time works best for you. Just bring yourself! For more information, call (918) 442-2900.

If I am not between the ages of 18 and 24, can I still apply to NextUp?

NextUp is designed for 18- to 24-year-olds. If you’re not in that range, don’t worry. We have other programs, like WorkAdvance, that can help you. For more information, call (918) 442-2900.

Will a criminal background prevent me from joining NextUp?

The short answer is no. We understand that everyone has a different life story. We’ll sit down with you and talk about your best path forward.

Do I need to have a GED or high school diploma?

Absolutely not! In fact, if you don’t have a GED or diploma, that’s something we can help you with.

What kind of training do you offer?

We offer short-term technical training in the manufacturing, transportation, professional services, and healthcare industries. Got a different career in mind? Let us know and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Who teaches the training courses?

We partner with highly qualified Tulsa-area schools to deliver training including Tulsa Technology Center and Tulsa Community College. Locations and length will vary depending on what you’re interested in.
